"I like fighting" - Muay Thai star Sinsamut says he's down to compete in any martial arts ruleset in ONE
Sinsamut Klinmee is always going to be known for having one specific skill set in his martial arts career. At just 28 years old, the experienced competitor has been a staple of the lightweight Muay Thai division for some time now.
His success in this specific field led him to back-to-back fights with Regian Eersel, and although he was unable to win the world championship, he's still very much in the mix.
Despite already having his return at ONE Fight Night 25 locked in for Oct. 4, the striker isn't opposed to testing himself in new ways down the line.
Many athletes on ONE Championship's roster have done the same, whether it's Muay Thai specialists competing in kickboxing or MMA fighters testing their submission grappling skills.
In a recent interview with ONE ahead of his return to Lumpinee Stadium, Sinsamut said that he's down to switch things up a little if the promotion were to offer him this opportunity:
"I'm interested. ONE can put me to fight in any rules as they like it. I like fighting."
Sinsamut Klinmee has unfinished business in his own division
We could very well see Sinsamut Klinmee stepping into to compete in kickboxing or some style of hybrid fight in the near future. However, for now, he remains active in the lightweight Muay Thai division where his story has not finished.
In his last appearance, the Thai striker was finished by Dmitry Menshikov in dramatic fashion and now, he's looking to bounce back.
The former title challenger welcomes a new arrival to the division when he meets Youssef Assouik at ONE Fight Night 25.
Assouik has made a name for himself before debuting in ONE Championship but his stock will rise to a whole new level if he's able to take out a staple of the division like Sinsamut.
ONE Fight Night 25 will air live in US primetime free of charge for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
