Tawanchai admits big mistake in first Jo Nattawut encounter: "I was too cocky"
Thai superstar and reigning ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai admits he took upcoming opponent 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut lightly in their first meeting a few months ago, which led to one of his toughest bouts in the world's largest martial arts organization.
Tawanchai met Nattawut at ONE Fight Night 15 on Prime Video in Oct. 2023 and took home a razor-thin unanimous decision victory after three grueling rounds of action.
The 25-year-old phenom says he has learned his lesson and is coming into the highly anticipated rematch better prepared.
He told Sportskeeda MMA:
"What I've learned from the first fight is that I was too cocky. I will not make the same mistake again in this fight."
