“I’ll be ready for everything that he has” - Christian Lee says Alibeg Rasulov won’t bring anything he hasn’t seen before in Atlanta

Two-division world champion Christian Lee is brimming with confidence ahead of his title defense bout at ONE 169: Atlanta on November 8.

Lee will defend his lightweight MMA belt against an undefeated Turkish fighter in Alibeg Rasulov as ONE Championship marks its on-ground debut inside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

This clash marks his 22nd test with the promotion after a long period of rest, and Rasulov clearly is not an easy opponent to face.

The Dagestan-born contender possesses a diverse ground game and stand-up skills to set up his 14-0 record, including a massive upset over former divisional king Ok Rae Yoon last July.

But even so, Lee believes that he has the ability to take on his new contender in any area of the game, as he shared with Cageside Press in a recent interview.

'The Warrior' said about his mindset:

"So he’s a dangerous fighter, but I feel like it’s nothing that I haven’t faced before. I faced a lot of tough opponents, and I think that he’s going to come forward, going to try to do what he’s gonna do, and I think I’ll be ready for everything that he has."

Christian Lee names Zebaztian Kadestam as his first test for the welterweight crown

After clashing with Alibeg Rasulov in lightweight at ONE 169: Atlanta, two-division world champion Christian Lee will most likely switch his focus into the welterweight division.

Indeed, Lee is not running out of challengers, as there are plenty of top contenders who would want a taste of his crown in both divisions, but the 26-year-old superstar has one name in his mind: former titleholder Zebaztian Kadestam.

He mentioned this in the post-fight media scrum at ONE 168: Denver, where he cornered his youngest brother, Adrian.

'The Warrior' said:

"He's earned it. And out of the whole welterweight division. If you look at who is in line, I think he's next."

For now, let's see what will happen when Christian Lee goes head-to-head with Alibeg Rasulov at ONE 169: Atlanta, live in U.S. primetime.
