“I love teaching them” - ONE Championship star Adrian Lee on coaching the next generation of MMA athletes
Adrian Lee doesn't like "scolding" children while training them in MMA.
At 18 years old, Lee is undoubtedly a highly-touted prospect in the bantamweight MMA division. When he's not preparing for his fights, the younger brother of ONE Championship legends Angela and Christian Lee works with the next generation of fighters by coaching them in mixed martial arts.
'The Phenom' recently did an interview with ESPN Honolulu to discuss his combat sports journey. Lee had this to say about the hardest part of being a coach:
"Hardest part about being a coach is being able to discipline kids. I have a really hard time scolding kids, but I love teaching them."
Adrian Lee's ability to coach the younger generation is inspiring for an 18-year-old. With that said, the ONE bantamweight MMA prospect is still prioritizing his fighting career, as he's on track to becoming a world champion.

Adrian Lee returns for second promotional fight at ONE 168: Denver
In June, Adrian Lee made his highly-anticipated ONE Championship debut. 'The Phenom' was also fighting as a professional for the first time when he appeared at ONE 167 against Antonio Mammarella. Lee showcased his well-rounded skillset by dominating Mammarella before securing a rear-naked choke win in round two.
On September 6, Lee will travel to North America for ONE 168: Denver and potentially prove to US fans why he deserves their respect. The 18-year-old is scheduled to fight Nico Cornejo, who holds a professional MMA record of 2-0.
Cornejo might receive added support from fans, as he trains in Denver, Colorado. Meanwhile, Lee could steal the spotlight due to his potential and being related to the highly-respected Angela and Christian Lee.
ONE 168 will take place inside the Ball Arena, with Lee vs Cornejo being one of many matchups that have fans excited. Tickets for the must-see spectacle featuring two world title fights can be found on Ticketmaster.
