"I'm down a 100 pounds now" - Jelly Roll sheds light on his emotional weight loss journey and struggles with obesity on Joe Rogan's podcast

Jelly Roll recently revealed the experiences of his weight loss journey to Joe Rogan. He detailed how he cut down an incredible amount of weight over time with simple measures.

Rogan and Roll are poles apart in terms of fitness. The 57-year-old UFC commentator has been a lifelong martial artist. Several noteworthy personas, including Georges St-Pierre, have praised his fitness and martial arts techniques.

On the other hand, Roll has a history of issues with his weight. However, he hardened his resolve at the beginning of 2023, and by April 2024, he reportedly lost 70 lbs.

Roll's appearance in episode 2212 of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) also had him revealing that his weight loss count had gone up to 100 lbs now.

"I'm officially down a 100 fu**ing pounds... It's been all food. I'm working out, I'm walking. But what I've learned is that as I'm losing weight, it's just inspiring me to just [keep going]... We're playing basketball three days a week now... [Getting emotional] My whole band had to watch me fight my co*aine addiction...They've watched me figure out my life slowly... and they knew that the last mountain for me was food."

Joe Rogan used a different method to cut his weight when he felt heavier

Joe Rogan has been an inspirational figure when it comes to maintaining fitness. However, there were times when even the seasoned comedian felt out of shape. The end of 2020 provided him with such a feeling, as he said he was developing a "belly" (starting to get overweight).

But Rogan worked out an efficient method to counter his weight problems. He shifted to a complete carnivore diet in January 2021, which gave him superb results.

"I did the carnivore diet for the month of January and I lost 12 pounds. I gained a ton of energy. My energy levels were completely flat the whole month, no ups or downs or crashes after eating... I had a belly and a lot of people made fun of me, fat-shamed me. I lost all my fat, I lost my belly, I lost my love handles. I don't know if I'm going to keep eating like this but it was tremendously beneficial."
