"I'm not afraid of winning or losing" - Jake Peacock reveals where his quiet confidence comes from

Jake Peacock has weathered adversity throughout his life. Considering the hurdles he had to overcome, the limb-different fighter exudes a quiet yet extremely confident aura. As it turns out, it's this unwavering demeanor that allowed Peacock to make a name for himself in the highest levels of striking.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Peacock revealed that much of his success came from not worrying about the outcome of his fights. 'The One' simply lays it all on the line each time in the ring and goes to war with no regrets.

"When I fight, I’m not afraid of winning or losing. I’m not afraid of either. I always go out there to do my absolute best and that just helps me perform even better every time," he said.

Apart from being a great role model, Jake Peacock is indeed a talented striker who fights with a lot of heart. The Dunamis Muay Thai representative extended his record to 13-1 with a brilliant promotional debut win against Kohei Shinjo last April.

Peacock's sophomore outing will take place at ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug on Nov. 8 at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium, where he'll take on Japan's Shinji Suzuki.

Jake Peacock not taking Shinji Suzuki lightly

Despite being seven years younger than the 38-year-old Suzuki, Jake Peacock is careful not to underestimate his Japanese foe. After all, the battle-tested veteran already has several impressive performances in ONE against elite competition.

'The ONE' told Sportskeeda MMA:

"He's a really good opponent. He won a fight over Han Zi Hao, ended up giving him an eight-count during the fight, I believe in the second round. And Han Zi Hao is a very, very good competitor, he went the distance with Nong-O for the title. Came up short."
