"I'm always ready" - Lito Adiwang fired up to get back into action inside the ONE Circle

ONE strawweight MMA competitor, Lito Adiwang, is all geared up for his next bout in the world's largest martial arts organization.

The former No.5-ranked contender hasn't looked back since returning from a lengthy layoff following an injury he picked up from his Jeremy Miado showdown at ONE X in March 2022. 'Thunder Kid' has reeled in three back-to-back victories – against Adrian Mattheis, Miado, and Danial Williams – to position himself as a legitimate threat to the fighters in the upper echelons of the division.

While nothing is confirmed, the Soma Fight Club martial artist is ready to continue his ascend, with the eventual goal being none other than the ONE strawweight MMA world title currently in the hands of former teammate Joshua Pacio.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA, Lito Adiwang said:

"Right after my last fight, I was kinda nervous because they might immediately pair me up for another fight, in case I wasn't ready. But now, after some time, at least, I'm okay. I'm just waiting, and I'm always ready."

Lito Adiwang's path to strawweight gold won't come easy

As game as he is to electrify the global audience with his high-pressure style, whatever Lito Adiwang draws next certainly not be an easy barrier to overcome.

Assuming he sits just outside the top five, the Bali-based superstar could go up against No.5-ranked Mansur Malachiev or No.4-ranked Hiroba Minowa, who eeked out a split decision win over Miado at ONE Fight Night 23 earlier this month.

If neither comes to fruition, a collision between the 31-year-old fighter and No.2-ranked Bokang Masunyane doesn't sound like a bad idea.

In the meantime, with Pacio currently recovering from an injury, top-ranked Jarred Brooks and Gustavo Balart will go toe-to-toe in the main event of ONE Fight Night 24 to crown an interim king of the talent-jammed division.

North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can catch the entire card live in U.S. primetime for free next Friday, August 2.
