"I'm a different kind of striker" - Jeremy Miado says Hiroba Minowa will be in for a rude awakening when they trade fists

Jeremy Miado knows a thing or two about putting people to sleep with his flaming fists of fury. If Hiroba Minowa decides to test his luck by exchanging strikes at ONE Fight Night 23, 'The Jaguar' promises to put the fourth-ranked strawweight MMA contender out of his misery.

On June 5, live in US primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, these two 125-pound dynamos will slug it out in a bid to stay relevant in the stacked division.

Minowa has taken on some of the biggest names at strawweight, taking on ranked contenders Jarred Brooks, Bokang Masunyane, and Gustavo Balart in his last three contests.

However, as far as Miado is concerned, the Japanese stalwart has yet to meet an opponent with the destructive power that he possesses.

The Filipino KO artist said in a recent appearance on The MMA Superfan's YouTube channel:

"I want him to realize that I'm a different kind of striker than the ones he fought before. Once he feels my power, he'll hesitate to just jump in and grapple."

It's no secret that Minowa prefers to take the fight to the ground and win through his grappling, which has proven to be Jeremy Miado's kryptonite in the past.

We'll see whose gameplan succeeds at ONE Fight Night 23, which will air free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Jeremy Miado hellbent on ending three-fight skid at Hiroba Minowa's expense

Jeremy Miado is coming off the worst stretch of his career by far, dropping his last three contests against Mansur Malachiev, Lito Adiwang, and most recently, Keito Yamakita.

With his back against the wall, 'The Jaguar' vows to unleash his primal form and return to his winning ways. He added:

"We're talking about my career here. That's what this fight means for me. I'm gonna give it my all, you're gonna see it all. I'm not going to lose here."
