"I'm the Final Boss" - 'Reug Reug' channels his inner Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson ahead of title challenge against Anatoly Malykhin
Pro wrestling and combat sports naturally go hand in hand and ONE heavyweight MMA world championship challenger Oumar Kane decided to draw inspiration from one of the sport's biggest names in the form of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
'Reug Reug' posted a photo of him celebrating his TKO victory over Boucher Ketchup in his kickboxing debut from ONE Fight Night 23 last Friday, July 5 on Instagram and is now fully focused on dethroning three-division ONE MMA world titlist Anatoly Malykhin from the heavyweight mountaintop.
For his caption, Kane drew inspiration from WWE stars 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, the aforementioned Johnson, Karrion Kross, and even John Cena:
"I'm the black @steveaustinbsr , I'm the Final Boss @anmalykhin I'm gonna beat that ass and stomp a mud hole in your head 💥 This is your final testament. Ask @realkillercross - your time is up, my time is now👊"
Defeating his Senegalese countryman gave Kane his fourth knockout win in the promotion, giving him six total victories in seven outings.
Oumar Kane ready to take his chances in striking with Anatoly Malykhin
'Sladkiy' has not been defeated in his six fights in ONE Championship, though Kane is extremely confident in his chances of outstriking the Golden Team fighter and even went so far as to point out how Malykhin will struggle against him.
Oumar Kane told the South China Morning Post after his victory at ONE Fight Night 23:
"Yeah, it's easy for me. I do it easy, you know. Malykhin doesn't do high kicks, only punches. But in MMA, it's everything."
Oumar Kane takes on Anatoly Malykhin in one of the featured fights of ONE 169: Atlanta on November 8 inside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
