“I’m going to get the job done” - Isi Fitikefu confident he’ll end Hiroyuki Tetsuka’s red-hot five-fight winning streak
31-year-old welterweight 'Doxz' Isi Fitikefu of Australia and Tonga is confident he is the man to snap upcoming opponent 'Japanese Beast' Hiroyuki Tetsuka's impressive fight-fight winning streak.
Tetsuka has been on an absolute tear since joining the world's largest martial arts organization. The 34-year-old Yamada Dojo-TGFC representative made his ONE Championship debut in October 2019, and has since won six of his last seven fights.
Meanwhile, Fitikefu is 1-1 in the promotion, and is coming off an impressive first-round submission victory over the tough Valmir Da Silva in April of 2023.
Now, the two are ready to throw down in a highly anticipated welterweight MMA scrap.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Fitikefu says he will stop Tetsuka and add to his highlight reel.
'Doxz' said:
"I feel like it’s going to be a TKO or a knockout before the third [round]. I can feel it. I’ve been training hard, and it’s a feeling that you can feel in your veins and in your blood. For some reason, I can feel that I’m going to get the job done."
Needless to say, Fitikefu and Tetsuka are almost guaranteed to put on a show, and the better man could position himself for a future world title shot.
