"I'm going to get there" - Kade Ruotolo believes he can be the best MMA fighter in the world

ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo believes that his unshakeable confidence will soon bring him to the top of the MMA mountain. Ruotolo said during an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show:

"I didn't start doing jiu-jitsu every day to become the top 10 in jiu-jitsu. I did that to be best in the world in jiu-jitsu for my weight. And I feel like, in the most humble way possible, I've kind of climbed that mountain of jiu-jitsu, so now it's to do so in MMA. Moreso about the legacy, I really do believe I could be the best."

He continued:

"If I feel like I can be the best, I'm going to get there. If I felt like I could be the best in surfing - I tried at surfing I'm just realistic with myself, I'm not gonna get there - but you know, I really do genuinely believe that I can get the number one spot in MMA and I'm going to get there."

The 21-year-old is set to feature in his second MMA bout against Pakistan standout Ahmed Mujtaba at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Friday, Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Kade Ruotolo ready to fight his way towards ONE MMA gold

Kade Ruotolo aspires to eventually become a ONE MMA world champion, and he is prepared to invest as much effort as he has into his submission grappling career into his MMA run.

In an interview with MMA Junkie, the Atos product said:

"It's obviously a huge mountain to climb [in MMA], a lot of tough scraps along the way, but that's where I want to be."
