“I’m going to hurt him” - Liam Harrison sends a stern warning to Katsuki Kitano ahead of ONE 167 return
Liam Harrison plans on pushing the pace and forcing Katsuki Kitano on his back foot when the strikers square off inside the iconic Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Nearly two years after his last appearance inside the Circle, the 'Hitman' will make his triumphant return at ONE 167, airing exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in both the U.S. and Canada. Joining an absolutely loaded lineup, Harrison will look to pick up right where he left off against a young Japanese standout looking to score the biggest win of his career.
Offering some insight into his game plan come Friday, June 7, Liam Harrison made it clear that he plans to put pressure on Kitano from the get-go, forcing the 25-win veteran on his back foot before bringing the pain.
“I’m going to come forward, get him on his back foot, and I’m going to hurt him,” Harrison said.
When it comes to pressuring opponents, few do it better than the British superstar, but don't get it twisted — he has a very tough task ahead of him at ONE 167.
Liam Harrison was left impressed by Katsuki Kitano's ONE debut
Making his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 38 late last year, Katsuki Kitano immediately made a statement, scoring a win over Halil Katukcu.
Even Liam Harrison was left impressed by his debut performance.
"He's won a lot of titles in Japan," Harrison told Sky Sports. "So he's no joke. It's not like I'm coming back to a walkover fight. He's very fast, he's very sharp. He had a good win last time out."
Can Kitano parlay the momentum from his ONE debut into a big win over the three-time Muay Thai world champion, or will Liam Harrison score his 91st career victory in The Land of Smiles?
ONE Championship fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 167 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime on Friday, June 7.
