"I'm going to kill this guy" - 'Reug Reug' eyes first-round finish of Anatoly Malykhin at ONE 169: Atlanta
'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane believes it'll take him only a round to see off three-division king Anatoly Malykhin in their highly awaited showdown at ONE 169: Atlanta.
The pair square off for the heavyweight MMA world title on the promotion's third on-ground spectacle in North America, which emanates live from the State Farm Arena on Nov. 8.
Since the match was confirmed last month, both superstars have taken their shots at one another on social media.
Malykhin, of course, has been the louder of the two. The One Chance Team and Tiger Muay Thai affiliate has been critical of the Senegalese fighter's arsenal, even claiming that he can finish Kane inside the distance.
None of that talk, however, has seemed to have impacted 'Reug Reug's' confidence so far. He remains confident that he'd be able to flip the script and walk away with 26 pounds of gold when they meet in Atlanta.
The 32-year-old told Sportskeeda MMA:
"You know, man, this is [gonna be] a good fight. Insya-Allah, maybe one round, this can be finished, this fight."
While calling his shot, the Black Panther Sports and ReugReug MMA representative took his chance to fire back at Malykhin.
He continued:
"This guy [Malykhin] is bullsh*t. He's talking too much. I'm going to kill this guy."
