"I'm going to Turkey" - Jake Paul responds to Mike Perry's "hairline" dig during live face-to-face sit down ahead of boxing clash

There was a full measure of sharp-witted comebacks and banters during the Jake Paul and Mike Perry face-to-face interview ahead of their boxing clash. Paul will square off against Perry in an eight-round bout that will take place on July 20 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

The pair verbally fenced on a disputed sparring session from 2021 while Paul asserted that Perry "can't beat" him. During the debate about the sparring session, Perry made fun of Paul's alleged receding hairline. 'The Problem Child' laughed off the jibe and responded that he would be getting it fixed soon. He replied:

"Hey, bro I'm going to Turkey soon okay? Some of us aren't blessed with luscious hair like you bro."

Check out the exchange below:

Turkiye (formerly Turkey) has become a premier destination for hair restoration for its affordable treatments. Whether Paul follows through on the plan or not, he first has to lock horns with Perry in the upcoming bout. Paul was initially scheduled to take on boxing icon Mike Tyson on the same date. However, the 58-year-old pulled out amid a health precaution, paving the way for Perry to step in as a replacement.

The undefeated bare-knuckle standout is gearing up for his sophomore appearance in the professional boxing realm to take on Paul. Back in March 2015, he squared off against Kenneth McNeil, losing the bout via knockout in the fourth round.

Meanwhile, Paul holds a 9-1 professional record since turning to pugilism in January 2020. He's coming off a three-fight win streak with a TKO victory over Ryan Bourland in his most recent outing.

Teddy Atlas points out how Mike Perry can get the better of Jake Paul

Jake Paul and Mike Perry are gearing up for their upcoming boxing showdown on July 20.

There will be a significant edge for Paul due to an almost six-inch reach advantage. Fans can also expect 'The Problem Child' to be the bigger fighter considering that he had been preparing to take on Mike Tyson, the record holder for the youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight title.

Prominent boxing analyst Teddy Atlas spoke in length about the fight in a recent episode of THE FIGHT with Teddy Atlas. Previewing Perry's chances, he said:

“Paul will be able to use the jab where he can keep Perry at a distance where he can set up the right hand. [He will] keep Perry from penetrating. [But] the range is the only way in which Perry can win, [he needs] to get close to Paul.”
