"I'm going to use my experience" - Nong-O says his veteran savvy should help him overcome undefeated Kiamran Nabati
Nong-O Hama is no stranger to high-pressure situations or contests against surging contenders.
The Thai veteran has been around the highest level of Muay Thai for too long to be intimidated by an incoming threat.
However, at ONE Friday Fights 81, he faces a tough task in trying to halt the undefeated momentum of Kiamran Nabati. As one of the newest contenders in the bantamweight Muay Thai division, Nabati is out to secure his biggest win to date at Lumpinee Stadium on Sept. 27.
The problem with that is the former long-reigning champion of this division isn't ready to give up his spot just yet. He wants to win this fight so that he can try to reclaim his place at the top of the division.
During the press conference ahead of fight night, Nong-O said his preparations and years of elite-level experience would be the difference for him in this fight:
"Kiamran has very sharp and powerful punches, but for me, it's no problem. I'm well prepared, and I also have a good game plan. Also, I'm going to use my experience to win this Friday night."

We saw this experience last time out for Nong-O
The champion had been so dominant in this weight class for such a long time that it seemed like Nong-O Hama was invincible during his reign. This came crumbling down after consecutive back-to-back losses where he was stopped devastatingly.
Nong-O was able to turn this tide last time out where a smart performance against Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai saw him return to the win column.
Applying a lot of the same tricks of the trade this time around will be crucial to him getting the win over Nabati.
Nong-O may not be the same athlete that he once was but he can make up for that by playing to his strengths.
