“I’m gonna take his soul” - Oumar ‘Reug Reug’ Kane promises to end Anatoly Malykhin’s run of dominance at ONE 169 in Atlanta
ONE Championship recently posted the coronation of Anatoly Malykhin as the new undisputed ONE light heavyweight MMA world champion when he defeated Reinier de Ridder in December 2022 at ONE on Prime Video 5.
This incredible victory by Malykhin was captioned by the promotion with:
"Anatoly Malykhin captured light heavyweight MMA gold with this KNOCKOUT performance against Reinier de Ridder! Can "Sladkiy" do the same to "Reug Reug" when he defends the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title at ONE 169: Atlanta? 👑👑 @anmalykhin"
The question that the world's largest martial arts organization posted didn't sit quite well with upcoming ONE heavyweight MMA world title challenger Oumar Kane, as he hit back on the question and sent out a massive warning against the reigning three-division MMA world champion as he commented:
"The answer is no son!!! I'm gonna take his soul"
Following his victory over de Ridder, 'Sladkiy' added two more victories to his record. He made history by becoming the first athlete in ONE Championship to win three world titles in three different weight classes.
Meanwhile, 'Reug Reug' is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Senegalese compatriot Boucher Ketchup during their heavyweight kickboxing match at ONE Fight Night 23 earlier this month.
'Reug Reug' now has a chance at gold when he challenges Anatoly Malykhin for the ONE heavyweight MMA world title at ONE 169: Atlanta.
This epic clash of heavyweight juggernauts goes down on November 8 at State Farm Arena.
Oumar Kane has piled up an incredible list of victims in ONE Championship
Aside from Ketchup, Kane has racked up an impressive hit-list under the world's largest martial arts organization since his debut in January 2021. The 32-year-old knockout artist has defeated the likes of Alain Ngalani (via first-round TKO), Patrick Schmid (via first-round TKO), Batradz Gazzaev (via second-round TKO), Jasur Mirzamukhamedov (via unanimous decision), and Marcus Almeida (via unanimous decision).
The lone loss by the 971 MMA and Black Panther Sports representative was courtesy of Kirill Grishenko, who scored a second-round TKO win over him in April 2021 at ONE on TNT IV card that went down inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
