“I'm very grateful for that fight” - Johan Ghazali thankful for experiencing defeat and making him a better fighter
Johan Ghazali is familiar with strong opponents, and he face another in Josue Cruz of Mexico at ONE 168: Denver this Friday, September 6.
Although the young Malaysian had just suffered a massive blow in his career when Vietnamese veteran Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat defeated him, he knows that this next appearance will be an opportunity to climb back into the winners' circle.
'Jojo' also learned a lot from this defeat, as he admitted to Nick Atkin earlier this week, saying that he accepted the loss and in fact very grateful for that particular match.
Ghazali said:
"So yeah, I learned a lot in that last fight. I think I learned more in that fight than in the past five fights before that. So I'm very grateful for that fight."
But, he also has a message for the fans and Cruz:
"And yeah, you'll see a new and improved Johan in this next fight."
At this point, an all-action clash is inevitable when the two meet inside the Ball Arena, Denver, in the stacked ONE 168 card. Limited tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.

Johan Ghazali will bring some surprises at ONE 168: Denver
Aiming for a rebound from his recent loss earlier in June this year, Johan Ghazali wants to take the victory at ONE 168: Denver, and throw in some surprises.
The young fighter shared this sentiment in a previous interview with ONE Championship ahead of his bout against Josue Cruz in the Denver event.
Featured in one of the five Muay Thai matches at the promotion's second live on-ground show in the United States, Ghazali knows that an impressive performance is needed if he wants to make his mark in among the best of the best.
He said:
"I want to do work with my hands, pressure him, break his defense, and have fun. But who knows, there could be a head kick or something that fans have never seen before."
