“I’m not interested in helping him” - When Joe Rogan repeatedly refused offers to have Donald Trump on his famous JRE podcast
UFC commentator Joe Rogan is known for his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast (JRE). Over the years, Rogan has used his podcast as a platform to interact with a wide variety of celebrity guests including Kanye West, Elon Musk, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Miley Cyrus, Russel Crowe and Robert Downey Jr., among others.
However, one guest that Rogan wasn't particularly excited about inviting to his podcast is former U.S. president Donald Trump. As reported by Variety, Rogan made an appearance on Lex Fridman's podcast in 2022.
During his time there, the 57-year-old spoke about Trump and the role he played in the polarization of the country. Rogan went on to add that he was not a Trump supporter and was not interested in helping him. The same article also mentioned that Rogan had turned down multiple offers to interview Trump on the podcast.
Speaking to Friedman, Rogan said:
"The Trump era is always going to be one of the weirder times. When people look back historically at the division in this country, he's such a polarizing figure that so many peole felt like they could abandon their own ethic and morals and principles just to attack him and anybody who supports him because he is an existential threat to democracy itself... I'm not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form. I've had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once - I've said no, every time. I don't want to help him. I'm not interested in helping him."
Joe Rogan reacts to the debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump
Joe Rogan recently weighed in on the debate between presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
While speaking to his guest Tom Segura on the podcast, Rogan showered praise on Harris, claiming that she had gotten the better of Trump in the debate. He said:
"The difference in the debate, in my opinion, was who was better prepared. [Kamala Harris] was better prepared, and even when it came to answering tough questions, instead of answering, she would just say things that she believed were sure, and they sounded really good. That's the sound bite."
