ONE 168 will mark Jonathan Haggerty's second consecutive defense of the bantamweight Muay Thai gold. He retained the belt in his last fight back in February, defeating Brazilian challenger Felipe Lobo by TKO.
Looking to dethrone him is Thai superstar Superlek, who is out for a win that will make hime a two-sport world champion and extend his impressive winning run, which is currently at 10 straight.
ONE 168: Denver will air live and or free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription. Event tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
Jonathan Haggerty seeks to avenge previous loss to Superlek in all-important rematch at ONE 168
Jonathan Haggerty is not only looking to retain the bantamweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6, but he will also hope to avenge a previous loss to Superlek Kiatmoo9 in what he considers as an all-important rematch in the United States.
The two world-class strikers first met back in 2018 in the United Kingdom, before they joined ONE Championship. Superlek took the contest by TKO (doctor's stoppage) after Haggerty sustained a cut in the second round, and the fight was stopped.
The defeat still resonates with him to this date and is something he looks to correct at ONE 168.
