"I’m a man now” - Jonathan Haggerty warns Superlek that he’ll face a completely different fighter at ONE 168

Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty says he was much too young and inexperienced when he faced Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the first time in 2018.

Now a two-sport king in the world's largest martial arts organization, Haggerty promises his highly anticipated rematch with 'The Kicking Machine' will play out much differently.

Haggerty told The Sporting News in a recent interview:

"When we last fought, I was a boy. I’m a man now. I’m adapted. I know myself as a fighter."

Haggerty first met Superlek at Yokkao in the United Kingdom in October 2018. This was the last fight outside of ONE Championship before 'The General' joined the promotion.

Superlek was able to open up a cut on Haggerty, that forced the ringside physician to call a halt to the contest in the second round, awarding the Thai with the technical knockout victory.

Now, the two are getting ready for their rematch on the biggest global stage of the competition, and fans couldn't be more excited.

Haggerty has a chance at redemption, but with his coveted golden belt on the line, the stakes are even higher than the last time.

The two lock horns at ONE 168: Denver, which broadcasts live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, on Friday, September 6th.
