"I'm doing the real one, 100%" - Jake Paul vows to pursue "real" boxing title, leave "side sh*t" behind in conversation with Gary Vee
Jake Paul invited entrepreneur Gary Vee on his podcast and discussed his plans, emphasizing that he's aiming for a legitimate boxing world title.
Paul has never been the silent type. The outspoken internet personality has emerged wildly triumphantly in almost all his endeavors. He made it a goal to silence his critics by lacing up the boxing gloves to defeat former UFC stars while accumulating a 9-1 boxing record.
It seems the 26-year-old has just begun to find his fighting groove. 'The Problem Child' told the 48-year-old author he wants to pursue a world championship while inspiring others to reach their goals:
"My thing is, just, I wanna become world champion to show that anyone could start something later on in their life and within six months become the best in the world”
When Vee asks Paul if he is going for some hogwash title instead of the real thing, the 'Problem Child' asserts he is pursuing the genuine world's championship:
“No, no, no, I’m doing the real one, no, 100%, not the side sh*t”
Michael Bisping claims Jake Paul is a disgrace to the combat sports world
While many have praised Jake Paul for venturing outside his comfort zone to pursue a challenge, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping states the 26-year-old is nothing but a joke.
On his YouTube channel, 'The Count' seemed livid while reacting to highlights from the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson press conference. The UFC Hall of Famer didn't offer 'The Problem Child' any leeway as he blasted the influencer for challenging a man who was more than twice his age:
"You are a YouTuber. You are a joke. You are a disgrace to the combat sports world. You're an imposter. You're a wanna be. You're a fake. Challenge yourself, you pathetic man, you pathetic individual. Fighting is about challenging yourself. Granted, businessman, yeah, you're killing it in that regard, but don't give me this fighter bulls**t. That's what gets on my nerves."

'The Count' echoed the sentiments of many fans who criticize the YouTuber for picking a fight with a 57-year-old retired boxer instead of challenging a prime athlete.
The showdown between Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is expected to happen on Nov. 15, 2024, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The bout was canceled previously due to Tyson's recurring health issues. However, fans hope to witness the pair clash as this event marks the legendary boxing Titan's return to the ring.
