"I might decide to make an appearance" - Jonathan Haggerty says he'll keep a close eye on Superlek's battle with Kongthoranee

Jonathan Haggerty is sure to pay special attention to an upcoming fight that will take place at Lumpinee Stadium. The ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion is gearing up for one of the biggest fights of his career in the coming months.

At ONE 168 on September 6, he will defend his world title in a dream fight for striking fans as Haggerty faces Superlek at the Ball Arena in Denver.

Whilst the champion is already looking to start his training camp and begin his preparations, the challenger has another assignment to clear off first.

'The Kicking Machine' is set to return at ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28 where he will be taking on the highly regarded Kongthoranee.

During a recent interview on the ONE on SK podcast, Haggerty spoke about this fight and his expectations for it.

He added that he may even be in attendance inside the iconic venue in order to get a good look at his opponent:

"I'm excited to see that fight, and who knows, I might decide to make an appearance and watch their performance."

Jonathan Haggerty understands the risk that Superlek is taking

Jonathan Haggerty also acknowledged in the same interview that he knows Superlek is taking a risk in this fight.

'The General' is focused on the task at hand whilst meanwhile, his opponent will be late to start his training and process for moving up a weight class.

Kongthoranee has built up an impressive winning streak inside Lumpinee Stadium and he will have all the confidence he needs to try and secure the biggest win of his career to date.

ONE Friday Fights 68 is set to air live in Asian primetime on June 28 whilst several months later, on September 6, the promotion returns to the United States where Haggerty and Superlek will clash at the Ball Arena.
