"I never rest" - Johan Estupinan jumping right back into training after highlight KO of Zakaria El Jamari in Bangkok
To Colombian upstart Johan Estupinan, there is no secret to the success he enjoys today. It's all down to hard work.
The 22-year-old extended his unblemished slate to 26-0 off another sensational knockout at ONE Fight Night 25 last Friday, Oct. 4.
After a back and forth opening round with Moroccan slugger Zakaria El Jamari, in which he was dropped, the unbeaten star ended proceedings slightly over a minute into the second canto.
Despite acquiring yet another finish on the global stage, the JcFernandez and Team CSK martial artist doesn't plan on taking a day off.
Johan Estupinan had this to say during the ONE Fight Night 25 post-event press conference:
"To be honest, I never rest. Tomorrow, when I get home, the first thing I'm going to do is train."
That mindset has played an instrumental role in the youngster's quick rise to the upper echelon of the striking division, after all.
With Rodtang Jitmuangnon's ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title his ultimate goal, 'Panda Kick' clearly doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon.
Johan Estupinan's glorious run in ONE Championship
Johan Estupinan became the first athlete from Colombia to join the roster of the world's largest martial arts organization earlier this year. The 22-year-old has been firing on all cylinders and looking more impressive with each passing fight ever since.
'Panda Kick' opened his promotional account with a 27-second knockout of Kouta Omori at ONE Friday Fights 64 this past May.
In his sophomore appearance, the flyweight striker cruised to a unanimous decision victory over Zafer Sayik. Last month, he picked up another highlight-reel win against Sean Climaco at ONE 168: Denver.
Estupinan's knockout of El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 25 was his fourth successive win under the promotional spotlight. The entire replay of the event is available to active Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America for free.
