"I perform well under pressure" - Nico Cornejo says the bright lights of the global stage won't bother him vs. Adrian Lee

ONE newcomer Nico Cornejo says he's unaffected by the bright lights of the global stage as he aims to win at ONE 168: Denver.

The Colorado native will make his ONE debut on September 6 and fight Singaporean-American rising star 'The Phenom' Adrian Lee at the Ball Arena in Denver. Everyone knows that this fight is a crucial stepping stone to becoming a big star under the promotion for both Cornejo and Lee.

But unlike his younger opponent, the 34-year-old American has experience fighting under all kinds of pressure. Regardless of who is in the crowd that night, the Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu representative says he's ready to thrill the crowd with his MMA talents.

Speaking to ONE this week, Cornejo said:

"So I got a lot of eyes on me, and one thing I can say for certain is I do perform under pressure. I perform well under pressure and I'm no stranger to big lights on me, so I'm just excited."

Nico Cornejo will have fifteen minutes to make a lasting impression, but it won't happen too easily. Adrian Lee, the younger brother to double-world champion Christian Lee, is also hyped up to be one fantastic wrestler.

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.
