"I pity the fool" - Ben Askren trolls Rocky III actor Mr. T over getting vaccinated with COVID-19 Moderna updated Booster

Former UFC fighter Ben Askren has taken to Twitter to troll actor Mr. T following his announcement that he's received his latest COVID-19 booster jab.

The pandemic has brought many challenges for people around the world, and the COVID-19 vaccination program appears to have done its job in preventing more people from being admitted to the hospital. While many now consider the pandemic to be over, some are still shocked that celebrities such as Mr. T would opt for a booster.

In a post on Twitter, Mr. T thanked God for "another day" and revealed that he took the booster dose:

"I Thank GOD for another day! I just received my Annual Flu Shot and COVID-19 Moderna updated Booster, and I Feel Good!"

The 70-year-old then thanked all the doctors and nurses for their work:

"My left Arm is a little sore but the Benefits outweigh the discomfort. I want to thank All of the Doctors and Nurses for all That they Do, Thanks Again!"

Lastly, Mr. T was happy to learn that he could still hit the gym:

"I can still work out, my arm is not in Pain... And you know I Pity Pain Grrrr! Be Blessed, Have Fun, but Stay Safe Everybody!"

Ben Askren, who retired from MMA in 2019, trolled Mr. T with the actor's own iconic catchphrase, seemingly taking issue with his choice to have a booster vaccine:

ONE Championship VP Rich Franklin revisits deal that saw the UFC trade Demetrious Johnson for Ben Askren

Many fans were left shocked when the UFC announced that they were letting Demetrious Johnson leave the organization in 2018. 'Mighty Mouse' is not only one of the greatest flyweights of all time but one of the biggest talents in the sport.

As part of the deal that saw 'DJ' move to ONE Championship, the UFC were given Ben Askren, who was the ONE welterweight champion at the time.

The historic Demetrious Johnson vs. Ben Askren trade is a done deal, multiple sources confirm. Full story coming shortly to @espn.

Regarding the deal, ONE Vice President Rich Franklin believes the UFC did not market the former flyweight champion to the best of their ability. He also feels that Americans aren't as interested in watching the "smaller fighters" compete. Franklin stated in an interview with 'The Schmo':

"I think it's one of the greatest trades ever, especially for ONE Championship... Because I don't believe that the UFC ever got the mileage out of 'DJ' [Demetrious Johnson] that they could have, or ever should have. And it's not the UFC's fault as much as the American fans – they really don't appreciate the smaller fighters the way that they did."

In hindsight, the move may not be seen as a success on the UFC's part due to Ben Askren's relatively short-lived UFC stint. The American fought three times for the organization (1-2) but is mostly remembered for his shocking five-second KO loss to Jorge Masvidal.
