“I have no problem facing him” - Rodtang Jitmuangnon open to catchweight fight against John Lineker

Former undisputed ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon of Thailand will welcome any challenge, whether there's a world title on the line or not.

One of the most intriguing matchups for 'The Iron Man' has recently been proposed, and fans seem to be very interested.

Former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker of Brazil has quickly jumped out to 2-0 since making his ONE Championship Muay Thai debut this year. Both wins have come by knockout, unsurprisingly.

More importantly, fans have started to clamor for a Rodtang vs Lineker Muay Thai showdown, which has absolute banger written all over it.

Addressing the media at the official ONE 169 press conference last weekend, Rodtang gave his response as to whether or not he was open to the match.

'The Iron Man' stated:

"I have no problem facing him, or anyone. I’d prefer to fight him at flyweight or catchweight 140."

Rodtang lost his flyweight Muay Thai gold on the scales a day prior to his bout against the United Kingdom's Jacob Smith at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video. He ended up winning an easy unanimous decision against the Englishman.

ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video took place live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday, November 9. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon on being a wanted man: "There are so many people who want to fight me"

Many fans speculate that Japanese kickboxing icon Takeru Segawa may be next for 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Even the Thai megastar himself seems to think so.

However, Rodtang left the decision to ONE Championship brass. He told Sportskeeda MMA:

"Up to Chatri [Stiyodtong]. However, I see there are so many people who want to fight me. I can fight anyone. I don’t really have a name right now."
