'Vick' told ONE Championship in a recent interview:

I have some training partners with a similar physical build to hers, so I did a lot of specific training with them precisely because of this. I did a lot of mental training and always imagined the fight with my hand raised at the end. I put myself in difficult situations mentally and always turned the tables or found a way out. And in the fight, it was like this."

Souza defeated Anderson via a three-round unanimous decision at ONE 168: Denver. A replay can be called on demand via Amazon Prime Video, available to fans in the United States and Canada.

Victoria Souza says it was "heart" that got her through difficult fight against Alyse Anderson at ONE 168: Denver

'Vick' Victoria Souza certainly found herself in some tough spots against 'Lil' Savage' Alyse Anderson, but she says that aside from the skill required to escape some tricky submissions, it was her "heart" that got her through.

Souza told ONE:

"I escaped her triangle with a technique that my coach taught me and, from the armbar, I just spun to escape. But it was also a bit of heart there, because, oddly enough, I don’t have much elasticity."
