“I have something to prove” - Lito Adiwang says he wants to avenge loss to Jarred Brooks more than anything else

Filipino strawweight MMA standout and former Team Lakay member 'Thunder Kid' Lito Adiwang of the Philippines desperately wants to rematch Jarred Brooks.

Adiwang and Brooks went to war in Nov. 2021, which went in favor of 'The Monkey God' via second-round submission. However, 'Thunder Kid' believes he almost had the American, if not for some crucial mistakes he made in their strawweight contest.

Now, Adiwang is lobbying for a rematch against the ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion and really wants nothing more than to trap Brooks in the cage again.

'Thunder Kid' told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview:

"And this is no joke, in previous interviews that I’ve seen, I see that some fighters don’t want to fight Brooks because he’s really good and strong, but for me it’s the opposite. I really want to fight him. I know that I have something to prove, that’s why I really want to face him again."

Needless to say, fans would jump at the chance to watch Adiwang fight Brooks again. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen.

'Thunder Kid' is currently riding an impressive three-fight winning streak, with victories over Adrian Mattheis, Jeremy 'The Jaguar' Miado, and Danial 'Mini T' Williams.

Lito Adiwang extra motivated to get one back from Jarred Brooks: "I have a different kind of fire in fighting him."

'Thunder Kid' Lito Adiwang says he feels a different kind of fire whenever a rematch with 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks is brought up.

For one, he believes he should have won their initial 2021 encounter. And he believes he would beat Brooks once and for all, should they meet again.

He told Sportskeeda MMA:

"For me, I really like to fight Jarred again. I have a different kind of fire in fighting him."
