“I still have what it takes” - Nong-O Hama eager to prove he remains among the elite in ONE Championship
Former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama of Thailand can't wait to step back into the ONE ring this weekend. The veteran wants to prove he still has what it takes to be counted among the elite.
Nong-O had long reigned over the bantamweight Muay Thai division in the world's largest martial arts organization. But the legend was taken off his lofty perch with a pair of knockout losses in 2023. Now, he's on the mend and ready to show fans he's still very much in it.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Nong-O made clear that he is still a live contender.
The 37-year-old said:
"The victory in the last fight proved that I still have what it takes."
The legendary Nong-O Hama is set to face unbeaten Russian rising star Kiamran Nabati at ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut, which broadcasts live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, Sept. 27, Asia primetime.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live via global pay-per-view on watch.onefc.com. Visit ONE Championship's official website for more information on how you can watch from your location.

Nong-O Hama sees flaws in Kiamran Nabati's game ahead of ONE Friday Fights 81: "I’ve seen some weaknesses in him"
Thai icon Nong-O Hama is more than just a brawler in the ring. He's one of the slickest technicians in 'the art of eight limbs', and he can't wait to implement his game plan at ONE Friday Fights 81 against Kiamran Nabati.
The veteran says he has discovered holes in Nabati's game, in particular, and plans to exploit them on fight night.
He said:
"I’ve seen some weaknesses in him, but I can’t say yet. I want to reveal them in the ring."
