“I taught him how to kick” - Sinsamut recalls showing Tyson Fury the principles of ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’
Former ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title challenger Sinsamut Klinmee had the opportunity to meet and train with champion British boxer Tyson Fury. He said it was a fruitful encounter where they learned from one another and something he looks to take cue from in his scheduled return to action this week.
The 28-year-old Venum Training Camp standout talked about it in an interview with ONE Championship, ahead of his featured match at ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs Eersel II in Thailand. Sinsamut shared how he was able to introduce to 'The Gypsy King' some facets of the "art of eight limbs":
"I learned how to punch properly according to boxing principles. I also taught him how to kick, but not much. I didn't want to bother him too much about his personal time."
Sinsamut will battle ONE Championship-debuting Youssef Assouik of Morocco in a lightweight Muay Thai joust. It will be the co-headlining match at ONE Fight Night 25 happening at Bangkok's famed Lumpinee Stadium.
The Thai fighter is coming into the contest after losing his previous match against Russian Dmitry Menshikov in May via knockout.
ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs Eersel II will be aired live and for free to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Sinsamut aims to win in style at ONE Fight Night 25
Sinsamut Klinmee is seeking to score an impressive victory over Youssef Assouik at ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs Eersel II on Oct. 4 to give fans a grand time and at the same remind them of what he is capable of as a fighter.
The Pattaya-born striker made his intentions known in an interview with ONE Championship. Sinsamut highlighted that he will take the fight to Denmark-based Moroccan Assouik and win in style.
He said:
"It's very important, but I won't put too much pressure on myself... I haven't thought about getting a bonus for this fight yet. I just want to win in style first."
Sinsamut vied for the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title twice before against Surinamese-Dutch fighter Regian Eersel and lost on both occasions. He has since bounced back from them, winning two of his three matches.
