In the recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast that aired on Sept. 24, Rogan and his guests, the hosts of Legion of Skanks podcast, discussed the incident where the crowd damaged a police vehicle.

When asked if it was a protest, Rogan replied:

"They just decided to stand in the middle of the street and block the traffic. I don't know what they're doing, I think they're just getting crazy. I don't know if they're protesting anything. I think they're just a group of kids that just decided to get crazy."

He added:

"This is the United States of America. If you saw this happening in Ecuador, you'd be like, 'Yo, Ecuador is out of control, right? But no, this is the United States of America."

Joe Rogan discusses the potential reasons for teenagers joining Philadelphia-like meet-ups

Speaking further about the recent Philadelphia 'street takeover' in the aforementioned episode, Joe Rogan discussed the risky behavior that participants engage in. He said:

"The likelihood of one of these kids getting run over is very high. They get hit by car all the time, they go flying through the air. It's like a dumb thing they do. But these guys get so close to each other, they hit each other all the time. People go flying through the air." [35:37]

Speaking further, Rogan pondered over the family background of those indulging in these behaviors and discussed the reasons that might be compelling teenagers to become a part of these gatherings.

"If you don't have a dad, your mom's a **** and she does [drugs], yeah, I'd be there too. If your dad beats you, if your dad's an alcoholic, who just beats the sh** out of you, the only love you get is from your friends on the streets, I would be doing that too." [36:02]
