“I think she has lots of strengths” - Alyse Anderson not taking Victoria Souza lightly in important atomweight clash
29-year-old women's atomweight 'Lil' Savage' Alyse Anderson of the United States is gearing up to make her second appearance in Denver for ONE Championship, and she wants to make a statement against a surging contender.
Anderson will do battle with Brazilian rising star 'Vick' Victoria Souza in a pivotal atomweight MMA clash, and the American Top Team and MMA Masters representative says she has done her due diligence on her adversary.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Anderson shared her thoughts on Souza, and what the Brazilian brings to the table in their atomweight showdown.
'Lil' Savage' said:
"I know she has some kickboxing fights, and she has good grappling. She’s the shorter, more explosive type of fighter. I think she has lots of strengths and kind of bulldozes in, and it’s just going to be a matter of keeping my range and definitely working the straight punches to keep her on the outside."
Anderson is also dedicating her next fight to her ailing father, who was recently diagnosed with cancer throughout his body.
The 29-year-old American star says a victory here would mean so much to her, and she will stop at nothing to achieve her goal and make her dad proud.
