"I can't wait to hear them roaring" - Jonathan Haggerty excited to showcase 'real Muay Thai' to American fans at ONE 168
Double-world champion Jonathan Haggerty is ultra-ready to put on a good Muay Thai brawl for the roaring fans in Denver, Colorado.
The 27-year-old Brit is en route to fulfilling one of the greatest achievements in his career - defending his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai crown against kickboxing kingpin Superlek Kiatmoo9 on US soil.
With a massive fight card like ONE 168, it's not wrong to envision the kind of welcome Haggerty will receive from the fans on September 6. As the author of his own story, 'The General' expects to showcase an unforgettable Muay Thai performance that will motivate the fans to stand and cheer his name.
Speaking to SCMP MMA, 'The General' said:
"Oh, yeah, that's the plan, to showcase some skill and what they've been missing out on. Some spinning elbows, some real Muay Thai techniques. And what a great place to show it, and that's in Denver, Colorado.
He continued to add:
"The fans are great. They're passionate, and I can't wait to hear them roaring and cheering my name, so I'm excited."

"I'm doing what I'm supposed to do" - Jonathan Haggerty believes that he was destined to fight at a heavier weight class
'The General' Jonathan Haggerty believes that he did his body a favor after leaving his former division to compete at bantamweight.
The former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion was at complete odds with himself about competing in a heavier weight class.
Although he felt stronger, he was still uncertain about his future as a competitor. However, after adding two bantamweight belts to his collection, Haggerty is happy to say that there's no other division he would rather be in.
He told ONE:
"Now that I'm at bantamweight, it's where I'm supposed to be and I'm doing what I'm supposed to do - and that's beat everybody."
