"I want to create a legacy for myself" - Adrian Lee ready to step out the shadows of his world-champion siblings
Adrian Lee has never let the weight of responsibility that comes with his family name weigh him down one bit. This clearly shows in how the 18-year-old prodigy carries himself with silent confidence and utmost belief in his abilities.
'The Phenom' racked up another $50,000 performance bonus when he made minced meat out of Nico Cornejo at ONE 168: Denver last Friday, Sept. 6, at Ball Arena.
Lee mopped the floor with the hometown bet and made 'The Steel City Kid' yield in less than a round via a constricting rear-naked choke.
Speaking with MMA journalist Nick Atkin after the event, Adrian Lee once again answered questions about following the footsteps of his world-champion siblings.
While the Singaporean-American star is grateful to follow the lead of two-division MMA kingpin Christian Lee and former atomweight MMA queen Angela Lee, he wants to carve his own path:
"I think it's the legacy I'm chasing. After I'm done with my career. I plan to really stick around. I want to create a legacy for myself," he shared.
It's certainly too early to tell, but the youngest of the Lee brood appears to have the 'It factor' to succeed in MMA.

Adrian Lee will back brother Christian Lee at ONE 169
To show his gratitude for his brother's undying support, Adrian Lee will pay it forward and corner the double champ at ONE 169: Atlanta.
Christian Lee will make his long-awaited return and defend the lightweight MMA crown against Alibeg Rasulov on Nov. 8 at the promotion's second US show of the year inside State Farm Arena.
'The Phenom' confirmed this in his post-fight interview at ONE 168:
"Well, right now, I'm focusing on my brother, Christian Lee, preparing for his title defense in Georgia. So, you know, after that, then I'll start thinking about more fights."
Tickets for ONE 169: Atlanta are available via Ticketmaster.
