"I wouldn't want to fight a bunny" - Fans react to Alex Pereira dropping Brazilian YouTuber twice while wearing bunny costume

Alex Pereira recently dropped a Brazilian YouTuber with a powerful body shot challenge, all while wearing a quirky bunny costume. Despite his limited proficiency in English, the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion has become one of the most adored figures in the MMA world, often seen sharing lighthearted moments with his fans outside the octagon.

'Poatan' made a guest appearance on the Brazilian YouTube channel Podpah’s Rango Brabo show, hosted by Diogo Defante. During the episode, Defante challenged Pereira to land some body shots, prompting the UFC star to unleash a series of powerful hooks to the YouTuber's midsection. Despite wearing protective gear, the force of the strikes proved too much, and he was dropped twice from the sheer impact.

'Poatan' successfully defended his title for the third time this year, securing a fourth-round TKO victory over Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307 last month. Currently riding a five-fight win streak, Pereira’s only setback in his 10 octagon appearances came against Israel Adesanya at UFC 287 in April 2023.

Alex Pereira reflects on his fear of injury while facing Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307

Alex Pereira showcased remarkable poise and delivered a brilliant striking performance after enduring an intense early barrage from Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307. While 'Poatan' ultimately secured the win, he faced a relentless attack in the opening rounds.

However, Pereira weathered the storm and, in the fourth round, pressed forward with relentless aggression, unleashing a torrent of strikes. He sealed the fight with a combination of body and head punches to retain his title.

During a recent interview with Podpah, Pereira revealed that his hands were significantly injured from the damage he dealt to 'The War Horse':

"In that 4th round, I was throwing jabs, and it was hurting my hand, man, I swear. I was thinking, 'My hand must be broken.' It still hurts today."
