"I want to make stuff that benefits society" - Aung La N Sang plans to revisit farming once his MMA career is over

Myanmar icon Aung La N Sang says he would like to revisit farming once his MMA career is over.

The former ONE middleweight and light heavyweight world champion once considered a life in farming when he was away in America for school. Remarkably, Aung La also worked as a beekeeper, before focusing on MMA full-time.

Moreover, that love for all things agriculture is deeply rooted in his upbringing in Myanmar, so he's hoping to pursue this tranquil endeavor after he wraps up his career in ONE Championship.

Speaking to Cageside Press ahead of his upcoming match at ONE 168: Denver, 'The Burmese Python' said:

"Farming. Yeah, I mean I went to school for agriculture science. So, like I worked as a dairy farmer and a beekeeper and I wanna produce. I want to make stuff that benefits society."

La N Sang returns to Denver, Colorado, for the second time in his career as the top dog in his middleweight brawl against Shamil Erdogan. The last time the Kill Cliff FC representative fought in America was back in May 2023, when he viciously knocked out China's Fan Rong at ONE Fight Night 10.

With three stoppage victories under his belt, Aung La is hungry for one more.

The 39-year-old superstar continues to be an incredibly active competitor. He has spent the last 10 years climbing up the ladder, challenging for world titles, and defending his crown in ONE Championship.

Entering his 20th bout in the promotion, Aung La promises that we haven't seen the best version of him yet.

Speaking to ONE, he said:

"The best is yet to come, and I promise you that I'm not just saying that. The best is yet to come, and I'm gonna put on a banger fight."
