"I will dog-walk him for 25 minutes" - Ian Machado Garry issues chilling message to Colby Covington challenging 'Chaos' to "face his fears"
Ian Machado Garry is all set to square off against Shavkat Rakhmonov in the co-main event of UFC 310 on December 7. Ahead of the bout, at the pre-fight press conference, Garry was asked about fellow welterweight Colby Covington, who the Irishman subsequently slammed.
Notably, Garry was slated to fight Joaquin Buckley the following weekend in the main event of UFC Tampa. When welterweight champion Belal Muhammad withdrew from UFC 310 due to injury, 'The Future' stepped in to face Shavkat Rakhmonov, with Covington now set to lock horns with Buckley.
However, Garry claims that Covington has been repeatedly avoiding a fight against him, which he highlighted once again at the pre-fight presser:
“Colby Covington is afraid of me. He will never in his life stand in the octagon with me and face his fears. I promise you now, my goal, my dream scenario, I finish Shavkat early, come out unscathed, walk my ass down to Florida, put that man in the octagon with me and see what happens. I would dog-walk him for 25 minutes and make it the worst night of his life. I promise you that now. He’ll never do it.”
