Ian Machado Garry gets brutally honest about potential Colby Covington fight after Shavkat Rakhmonov test at UFC 310: "I would dog-walk him"
Ian Machado Garry did not mince words at the UFC 310 pre-fight press conference when addressing a potential matchup with Colby Covington. The two men have a widely publicized feud in the MMA sphere, and trash talk between them has reached personal depths.
So, when a media member at the press conference asked the Irishman if he had any words for Covington, Garry offered nary a grain of respect. Instead, he accused Covington of avoiding him, even claiming that 'Chaos' feared him and would never face him due to said fear.
"Where is he now? Where has he been for the last 8 months? He's been f***ing running since that last day he met me. He's been running since that day. Colby Covington is afraid of me, right? He will never, in his life, stand in the octagon with me and face his fears."
It was then that Garry outlined his ideal scenario to secure a matchup with Covington, who fights later at UFC on ESPN 63 on Dec. 14. However, to do so, his scheduled opponent, Joaquin Buckley, would have to withdraw from a bout just seven days away taking place.
"I promise you now, my goal, my dream scenario, I finish Shavkat [Rakhmonov] early, come out unscathed, walk my *ss down to Florida, put that man with me in the octagon and see what happens. I would dog walk him for 25 minutes and make it the worst night of his life, I promise you that now. He'll never do it."

While Garry is driven by righteous fury and a desire to avenge his wife, who Covington has criticized, he must first get past the welterweight division's boogeyman, Shavkat Rakhmonov, at UFC 310.
Ian Machado Garry and Colby Covington have been trash-talking each other for months
The enmity between Ian Machado Garry and Colby Covington began when 'Chaos' aimed trash talk at the former's wife, Layla Anna-Lee. This culminated in Covington filming a video where he called Garry out, claiming he'd fight him if the Irishman conceded to the following conditions:
"Agree to the stipulations. Stipulation number one, turn on the comments. Stipulation number two, record Layla begging. Stipulation number three, agree to the MyBookie promo and we got a fight."
