The incident occurred during an interview with his brother, where he was asked if he truly believed he could defeat any opponent. Topuria confidently answered yes, but the polygraph indicated otherwise, suggesting he may have been lying.
Despite the test results, Topuria remains adamant about his invincibility. He stated:
"I've always felt invincible. This [Polygraph] can say whatever it wants to say."

The featherweight champion will have the opportunity to showcase his skills against legendary opponent Max Holloway at UFC 308. Topuria has boldly predicted that he will be the first fighter to knock out Holloway, who holds the record for the most fights in the UFC without being knocked down.
The highly anticipated matchup between Topuria and Holloway is set to take place on Oct. 26 in Abu Dhabi.

Ilia Topuria is brimming with confidence ahead of his upcoming title defense against Max Holloway at UFC 308. The Georgian fighter has boldly predicted that he will not only defeat Holloway but also knock him out in the first round.
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Topuria stated that many people underestimate his abilities and dismiss his previous victories but he remains confident about proving them wrong. He said:
"When I see that kind of videos with people giving their opinions and saying that Max is going to knock [me] out or he's going to win that match. I just realize that they don't know anything about the sport. They don't know anything."
Topuria acknowledged Holloway's popularity and his reputation for exciting fights, but he warned the former champion not to underestimate his power. He said:
