Ilia Topuria and Conor McGregor shoot down reports of fight talks

Ilia Topuria has hinted at moving up in weight, suggesting that he could look to face a lightweight contender before challenging for a second title. While he mentioned Charles Oliveira as a potential opponent, rumors began to surface that the featherweight champion could be the fighter to welcome Conor McGregor back to the octagon.

Both fighters took to X on Tuesday to shut those rumors down. 'The Notorious' was the first to respond, posting:

"The rumors of a bout with topurio are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon."
