Ilia Topuria sends strong four-word message to Max Holloway as he travels to Abu Dhabi for UFC 308
Ilia Topuria is en route to Abu Dhabi where he will defend his featherweight title against Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 308. Ahead of his journey to the Middle East, 'El Matador' sent a four-word warning to the Hawaiian online.
The Spaniard has showcased immense self-confidence since entering the UFC. Ahead of his title challenge against then-champion Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298, Topuria changed his Instagram bio to declare him the "UFC featherweight champion".
The 27-year-old called his shot and took it as he handed Volkanovski his first career defeat at featherweight and derailed one of the most impressive championship reigns in recent memory.
The new 145-pound king will face 'Blessed' after the latter's masterclass against Justin Gaethje at UFC 300. But the vein of form currently occupied by the title challenger has done little to dampen the confidence of Topuria, who recently posted this on Instagram:
"On my way to Abu Dhabi! Max Holloway you're f*cked."

The featherweight title clash is one of the most anticipated matchups of the UFC's 2024 schedule. It will top off an unbelievable night of fights for fans, with Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev clashing in a five-round co-main event bout.
Ilia Topuria plans to sending Max Holloway to join Alex Volkanovski in an old age home
Ilia Topuria stunned fans earlier this year when he knocked Alexander Volkanovski out cold with a vicious flurry of punches at UFC 298. Ahead of his first title defense, the Spaniard has promised to deliver a similar fate to Max Holloway once the octagon door closes on Oct. 26.
The featherweight duo appeared together during ESPN MMA's recent interview, where 'El Matador' said:
"I already open a home for old people where [Volkanovski] already has his room, I have another one for you. So, I'm gonna put you right there after Oct. 26... All for free, don't worry, no expenses."
He continued:
"Bring your pillow for the fireworks, because once you're going to see them start, you're going to need your pillow."
