"In 18 UFC fights, you’ve only finished 3 opponents" - Shavkat Rakhmonov calls out "delusional" Belal Muhammad over latter's fight prediction
UFC welterweight contender Shavkat Rakhmonov and champion Belal Muhammad have continued to trade jabs over social media. 'Nomad' recently took a dig at the welterweight king's MMA record.
It all started when Muhammad did an interview with Submission Radio. During his time there, 'Remember the Name' previewed a possible showdown against Rakhmonov and said that the contest would similar to his clash against Leon Edwards.
Muhammad said that he planned on taking the 29-year-old to deep waters and predicted to finish the fight inside the distance. He said:
"Honestly, I think it looks exactly like the Leon fight. I dominated him everywhere. For me, I have a different style every single fight. I come in there and I don't have to fight you a certain way... I could fight you going forward. I could fight you going backwards. I could fight you laterally. I could wrestle you. I could strike with you... I see weaknesses in Shavkat that I'm gonna exploit... I'm gonna make him uncomfortable and then he's gonna realize that there's levels to this. And I think it's gonna end up being a finish."

Muhammad's statement caught 'Nomad's' attention, and the undefeated fighter slammed the champion, mentioning how the 36-year-old had only scored three finishes during his UFC tenure. Rakhmonov issued a response on X, which read:
"18 fighters before you tried, and I finished them all. Meanwhile, in [19] UFC fights, you've only finished 3 opponents. The UFC belt doesn't give you superpowers, brother, it just seems to have made you delusional."

Shavkat Rakhmonov gives his own prediction for a clash against Belal Muhammad
Shavkat Rakhmonov recently spoke to Submission Radio, and gave his thoughts on how a potential bout between him and Muhammad would play out. According to the 29-year-old, the matchup would be tough, but he is confident of getting his hand raised in the end. He said:
"Yeah, I think it will be a very competitive fight. I don't think about it as an easy fight. It's going to be a hard fight and whoever will force his own style on his opponent is gonna win. And even though it's not gonna be easy, I believe I'm going to be the winner at the end."
