Conor Mcgregor shares his thoughts on Anthony Joshua following the recent loss

Despite the defeat, Conor McGregor believes that Anthony Joshua still has a lot to offer in the heavyweight division and that retirement is not the solution.

Joshua's defeat to Dubois was a major upset, as the former unified champion was a heavy favorite going into the fight. However, McGregor defended Joshua's performance and insisted he is still a top-level fighter.

Following the fight, 'The Notorious' said:

"AJ is the number one. This is a stadium show here... He's a legend forever."

Further stressing on a potential comeback from the Olympic gold medalist, the Irishman said:

"Of course, there sure is [a way for Joshua to recapture the title]. He smacked him back... Stood his ground and smacked him back. Then he went forward and got caught. It's only boxing. You get caught, you catch someone. Of course, he can come back for sure."

McGregor is aiming for a comeback in 2025 and is currently focused on training and staying fit. While his opponent for the comeback fight is still uncertain, McGregor has expressed interest in facing Michael Chandler upon his return.

'The Notorious' was originally set to fight Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024 but had to pull out of the bout because of a broken toe.
