In Photos: Dricus du Plessis enjoys time in the sea with girlfriend and family as he recharges following UFC 305 win

Dricus du Plessis appears to be enjoying his time off, after the middleweight champion recently shared a series of snaps of him on holiday with his girlfriend and his family. 'Stillknocks' recently defended the title against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305.

The two middleweight stars were tasked with headlining the card in Perth, Australia last weekend as Adesanya was making his highly anticipated return to the octagon. The bad blood had also been spilling between the pair for a number of months, with many fans hoping their bout delivered the fireworks it promised.

Fans didn't have to wait long to find out if it was worth the hype either, as both du Plessis and Adesanya put on valiant performances. Each man showcased why they're considered the best middleweights on the planet.

The South African ultimately shined on the night, however, as after weathering a late storm from the Nigerian New Zealander in the fourth round, he managed to lock in face crank submission for the win.

Following his victory, Dricus du Plessis took to Instagram to show off his holiday snaps as well as remind fans that is awaiting his next challenger. In the first photo, du Plessis is posing his family on a boat. He captioned the post:

Dana White reacts to Dricus du Plessis' win over Israel Adesanya

Dana White has praised Dricus du Plessis for his victory over Israel Adesanya at UFC 305.

After the two middleweight stars fought out an epic contest, the UFC CEO offered his initial thoughts on the bout at a recent Contender Series presser.

Whilst White did praise both du Plessis and Adesanya for their performances, he noted that the awkward style of 'Stillknocks' is one of the toughest to figure out in MMA. He said:

“I thought that Israel looked incredible. Dricus is so awkward and unorthodox. He's got to be the toughest guy to train for. He fights like a white guy dances [laughs]. It's so crazy and awkward, and you know what I mean? But very effective."
