Marlon Vera is ready to dip deep and bring demons to UFC on ABC 7

Marlon Vera will look to bounce back from his UFC 299 bantamweight title bout loss to Sean O'Malley when he faces Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC on ABC 7 next weekend. The No.4-ranked bantamweight recently revealed that he plans to dig deep as he looks to get back in the win column.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, 'Chito' stated:

"I'm going to focus on Figueiredo. I know that's a big challenge. I'm taking this just as serious as I was taking the title fight [and] all the fights before. I'm going to get in there and f**king let this motherf**ker know we're on my time and if I have to dig deep and f**king go to the basement and pull all the demons, we’ll f**king bring them."

Vera noted that Figueiredo is a dangerous fight, pointing to his championship reign at flyweight. He added that he is looking for a route to work his way back into the bantamweight title picture and claimed the best way to do so would be an impressive performance at UFC on ABC 7.

'Chito' will mark the toughest challenge for 'Deus da Guerra' since he made the move to bantamweight. He defeated Rob Font at UFC on ESPN 52 in his divisional debut before defeating Cody Garbrandt at UFC 300.
