In Photos: Max Holloway looks dialed in as he sweats it out in the gym with potential Ilia Topuria fight approaching
Max Holloway does not officially have his next fight confirmed but is widely assumed to be the next featherweight title challenger against champion Ilia Topuria. From his latest Instagram post, 'Blessed' appears to already be in championship fight camp.
Holloway shared photos from his latest strength and conditioning session at Tactical Strength in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Instagram four months after his last win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300. The 32-year-old did not provide any potentially cryptic message in his caption but physically looked to be in elite condition.
In his post, Holloway also showed off clothing from his sponsorship brand, Darc Sport.
The Hawaiian has always been considered to be one of the fighters with the best cardio in combat sports, largely due to his dedication to his strength and conditioning. For the entirety of his UFC career, Holloway has done his strength training with Darin Yap at Tactical Strength.
When will Max Holloway fight Ilia Topuria?
Even though he is no longer a world champion in the UFC, Max Holloway is still one of the most popular fighters in MMA.
After putting on what most expect to be the Knockout of the Year against Justin Gaethje at UFC 300, Holloway called out featherweight champion Ilia Topuria in the Octagon. Since then, fans have been fully behind the matchup with few other viable options in the division.
The matchup has not been confirmed but is seemingly all but done as both fighters continue to hint towards their fight on social media.
As of August, rumors claim the featherweight title fight is expected to headline the UFC 308 October pay-per-view card in Abu Dhabi.
