Irish woman who accused Conor McGregor of assault had her car attacked and set on fire
40-year-old Ireland national Samantha Murphy, who was allegedly assaulted by UFC superstar Conor McGregor last year during a party in Ibiza, had her car set on fire earlier this month.
As per a Daily Mail report, the arson incident took place at roughly 10 PM on January 19 at a residential area in Drimnagh, Dublin. While the investigation around the incident is currently ongoing, no arrests have been made as of this writing. Additionally, no injuries were reported related to the crime.
The Irish police are yet to clarify whether the arson incident is in any way related to the assault allegations against the 'Notorious' UFC star.
The 40-year-old Irishwoman was allegedly assaulted by the UFC star while the duo were partying on his yacht during his birthday last summer. Murphy claims that she was kicked in the stomach and punched in the chin by the professional fighter.
As per the alleged victim, she had to jump overboard and was ultimately rescued by a Red Cross boat. The Daily Mail report states that the woman has pressed civil and criminal charges against McGregor after the Ibiza incident.
Conor McGregor is currently out of action after suffering a leg injury during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in 2021. However, in a recent Instagram post, he teased the possibility of him coaching the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).
True Geordie says no one would be surprised if the assault charges against Conor McGregor are proven true
While True Geordie maintains that everybody is innocent until proven guilty, the YouTuber believes that the public wouldn't be too surprised if the assault charges against the UFC star are proven true.
In a recent episode of his podcast, the Englishman stated that McGregor is "a d**k." He added that whether or not the Irishman touched the woman, the mere fact that she ended up in water proves that at least an element of her story is true:
"When you have soo many issues following you, you become the common denominator... I'm not saying he did do it, officially it's innocent until proven guilty, I get that. But I'm also saying, the guy is a d**k. He acts like a d**k all the time. So if this was true, would anyone be surprised? No one. Like I said, she did end up in the water somehow, so an element of this is true. Whether or not he touched her, who the f**k knows."
