Is Joe Rogan's Donald Trump interview censored? The UFC commentator busts viral fan theory

Former United States president Donald Trump recently appeared on Joe Rogan's podcast for a lengthy conversation that broke the internet. The episode, which was recorded in Austin, Texas, quickly drew thousands of views on YouTube and Spotify after its release on Friday. As of now, the video has over 32 million views on YouTube.

However, some fans speculated that the interview was censored after it amassed almost 300k views in 20 minutes. UFC color commentator Joe Rogan addressed these claims directly, clarifying on X that there was no censorship involved.

Check out the speculation below:

He explained that the delay in the YouTube upload was due to a glitch in Spotify’s system, which required the YouTube link to be temporarily delisted until the issue was resolved. Rogan reassured fans that the episode was always intended to be available on both platforms simultaneously.

Rogan took to X and wrote:

"There is no issue with YouTube censoring the trump episode. It was just supposed to go live on both Spotify and YouTube at the same time and there was a glitch in Spotify’s upload system and so we delisted the YouTube link until it’s fixed. It should be fine now."

Donald Trump criticizes multi-billion dollar internet access initiative on Joe Rogan's podcast

During a recent appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, Donald Trump criticized a $42 billion federal initiative aimed at expanding internet access.

Trump highlighted the efficiency of Elon Musk's Starlink program, which he asserted could provide reliable internet access at a fraction of the cost. He recounted a trip to North Carolina where locals expressed an urgent need for communication services after severe weather had knocked down poles. He said:

"Think of what Elon does. He did one other thing that I never heard of it. It's Starlink. I went down to North Carolina... I followed it right down and they had no communication. The polls were all knocked down. One of the guys in North Carolina said, 'Could you do me a favor? Do you know Elon Musk? Could you get him? We need Starlink."

Trump added:

"And I call Elon. He got it for him so fast. Saves so many lives. And I said, 'How was it?' They said, better than the wires. You know, they couldn't put them in. They were all gone. We're spending a trillion dollars to get cables all over the country up to upstate areas where you have two farms. And they're spending millions of dollars to have a cable. Elon can do it for nothing."
