Norma Dumont's personal life
Norma Dumont's journey to MMA has been inspiring. Her father abandoned her mother and their three daughters when Dumont was just four years old. At the age of 13, Dumont began practicing Jiu-Jitsu. However, she had to stop training to find work as a secretary.
At 19, Dumont returned to training and continued pursuing her MMA career. She became a six-time Sanda State champion and National champion of Sanda. Dumont discovered Muay Thai through a friend's recommendation and immediately fell in love with the sport.
