The 23-year-old Californian is steadily climbing the ranks in the boxing world, boasting a professional record of 7-0-1. 'Sugar Rush' is considered one of the most promising young boxers of his generation. While he may not yet be a household name, many are unaware that he shares a blood relation with the polarizing boxer Ryan Garcia.

Is Sean Garcia related to Ryan Garcia?

Sean Garcia is the younger brother of boxing sensation Ryan Garcia. Raised in a family with a deep-rooted boxing legacy, Sean's path in the sport has been profoundly shaped by his brother and their father, Henry Garcia, a former professional boxer.

'Sugar Rush' attended a local high school in California, where he actively participated in various activities. Alongside his brother, he honed his boxing skills while also enjoying soccer and wrestling with his peers. After graduating in 2019, Garcia chose to focus on his boxing career rather than pursuing a college education.

The younger Garcia sibling has yet to make a significant mark in the boxing world, but he has shown promising progress. In 2016, he clinched the junior division championship in the 110-pound category. Following this, he also secured a victory at the Prep National Championship.

Although both Garcia brothers have been professional boxers for some time, they have only shared the same fight night twice. Last December, during 'KingRy's' comeback fight against Oscar Duarte Jurado following his loss to Gervonta Davis, 'Sugar Rush' also fought on the preliminary portion of the same event.

During the pre-fight press conference (via Daily Press), the former WBC interim lightweight champion took a moment and commended his younger brother's unwavering dedication to the sport:

"This is the most focused I have seen him. He's looking so sharp. I am so proud of him. You guys are now going to start paying attention to Sean as much as me. That's how sharp he's looking."
